Seduced by the Illusion: The Truth About Transformation Photos
See on Scoop.it – Health and Wealth News To Use
I take issue with transformations that are manipulated with Photoshop, professional lighting, postures to degrade or enhance their look, pro tans, sucking in or pushing out a belly, or flexing muscles.
Although I totally agree with what this guy has to say about photos being manipulated etc, he gets a bit jaded throughout the article. He particularly picks on the makers of Insanity and P90X. Assuming they use special lighting and models and as his last sentence in the article say…."it’s all smoke and mirrors."
Well, I can’t speak for any other company that sells programs that are similar, but I can speak for Beachbody (the company that produces Insanity, P90X, Turbo Jam, Body Beast, RevAbs and a host of others.) since I have been linked with them for nearly 5 years.
Beachbody uses real people with real before and after photos. Although their infomercials are professionally done and marketed well, the results one can achieve are far from smoke and mirrors.
As with anything of this sort, they have to give a disclaimer that says, "results not typical", hence what one can achieve in 90 days with hard work, persistence, good clean eating, sleep, hydration, another may not because they will not or cannot be willing to do and therefore they may not look the same in the end.
Beachbody has sold MILLIONS of dollars worth of workout programs oiver the past 15 years, but that doesn’t necessarily tell you they work. What would tell you however, is joining their FREE online community of over 100,000 folks that use their products and programs day in and day out. Look at their "UNRETOUCHED" photos, read their stories, be inspired, be willing to try, don’t give up, try again until you achieve your results, make it a lifestyle choice and you will know whether or not is all a bunch of baloney.
