Pizza, Beer, French Fries, and other great Diet Foods.

By Nick Nilsson

How to eat your favorite junk food by the
ton and still lose all the fat you want!

Now this is the real American Dream! I’m here to let you know that it is totally possible to lose all the fat you want while eating nothing but junk food. The only hitch is that all the fat you want to lose is going to have to be zero!

Here are some tongue-in-cheek (or burger-in-belly) suggestions for how you can turn even the greasiest, sugariest, most overprocessed calorie bomb into lean, mean diet food.

How is this done? Here’s a hint: it’s all in how you choose to look at the food…

1. Eat donuts instead of solid pastries. You will be saving a tremendous number of calories by eating something with a hole in the middle. You can save upwards of 3 to 5 calories per pastry by doing this. That means if you eat 10 donuts, you’ve saved yourself almost 50 calories! Besides, everyone knows nuts are good for you…

2. French fries can help prevent heart attacks. It is a fact that French people suffer fewer heart attacks and have lower rates of heart disease. French fries are obviously from France, therefore it naturally follows that French fries can prevent heart disease.

3. Pizza is one of the healthiest foods on the planet. There are many reasons for this:

* The bleached flour in the crust sucks up all the grease that drips down from the toppings, trapping it so you don’t see it while you’re eating. If you don’t see it when you eat it, it has no calories.
* It’s round (stay with me here). Because square-shaped foods have corners, they contain a lot more calories than round foods. To save even more calories, cut a hole in the center of the pizza (refer back to #1 for full details).
* The cheese on the pizza is loaded with calcium — even more than the Tums you’re going to need after eating the whole thing.
* You can easily reduce your servings without sacrificing enjoyment. Instead of cutting the pizza into 8 slices, try cutting it into only 4. You’ve just eaten HALF the number of slices you ate before! Imagine how many calories you’ll save by doing that!
* Vegetables covered in grease are still vegetables. Never mind that all the nutrition has been baked out of them, you’re still getting you’re recommended daily servings of veggies.
* There is plenty of fiber in the paper that’s stuck to the bottom of the pizza. Don’t be afraid of it.

4. Beer is the absolute best beverage you can drink when you’re watching your waistline. It helps to put it right out there n front you where you can see it.

5. Look for foods that have air bubbles in them. Examples include chocolate bars, Twinkies (after you suck the cream filling out), soda pop, sponge cake, and cheese puffs. As you know, air has no calories. Look at these foods as the wrapping for a low-calorie, low-fat serving of air.

6. Putting ketchup on anything makes it healthy. Think about it. You’re getting your vegetables in a concentrated paste. It’s like stepping into the future… today!!

7. Here are a number of delicious, zero-calorie foods you may not be aware of:

* Anything eaten while standing has zero calories.
* Anything eaten off somebody else’s plate has zero calories.
* Food sampled for “tasting” purposes during preparation has no calories.
* Food sneaked from someone after you distract them is also calorie-free.
* Anything eaten after the expiration date contains no calories.

8. Eating ice cream can actually help you burn an enormous amount of calories. The key to this lies in its temperature.

Ice cream is very cold. When you eat ice cream, your body must expend energy (a.k.a. calories) to warm it up to your internal body temperature.

When you work through the scientific formulas for heat conversion, you can see you will end up expending approximately 6,000 calories to heat up a small dish of ice cream to body temperature. Drinking ice cold beer with your ice cream amplifies this effect.

These diet tips should have you well on your way towards effectively peeling off pounds of unsightly fat.

Think of me next time you’re eating a pizza with french fries and ketchup on top, dunking your donuts in a glass of cold beer, and shoving down Twinkies (with the filling sucked out) mashed into a dish of nice cold ice cream!

Corn Dogs, Cheeseburgers, Custard and Other Diet Foods

Corn Dogs, Cheeseburgers, Custard and Other Diet Foods…

By Nick Nilsson

Just because the foods you want to eat are loaded with fat,
sugar and calories doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be able to
lose as much fat as you want while eating them!

In my years as a trainer, I’ve found that it’s simply not fair that we should be limited and made to feel guilty about what what we eat by such horribly judgemental and negative-sounding terms like “junk food,” “sugary snack,” “quadruple bypass” or “colon cancer.”

This is especially true since I’ve also found that a person can lose as much fat as they want eating foods that most “experts” (like doctors, physicians, cardiologists, podiatrists, dieticians and sometimes even nutritionists) would consider a heart attack on a plate. My theories will prove that these colon-stoppers can be instantly transformed into health foods!

In a previous article entitled “Pizza, French Fries, Beer and Other Diet Foods,” I eloquently dispatched many of the myths commonly associated with so-called “junk foods.” You can read about these here:

Better U Fitness

In this installment, I delve even deeper into the theories that can take the greasiest pile of food and make it into fat-shredding diet fodder.

1. Eat foods that are so greasy that they are constantly slipping out of your hands or out of the back of the bread.

The simple act of picking your food up after it’s slid out of your hands burns a tremendous amount of calories both in activity and in frustration. The greasier it is, the more often it’ll slip and the more calories you’ll burn. This espcially true of greasy hamburgers that have 3 or more patties stacked one on top of another (1 or 2 patties is not enough to get the greatest results so be sure to get the largest hamburger available – and no lettuce or tomato…they’ll just slow the meat down). When each bite slides half the sandwich out the back end, you know you’ve got prime diet food. Stuff it back in and feel the burn (from the hot grease, that is!).

2. Foods that are served on a stick are a good source of fiber

The humble corn dog is a prime example of a high fiber food because it’s usually served on a wooden stick. In theory, the fiber found in the wood makes its way into the mush of the dog inside the corn, dramatically increasing the useful splinter, I mean, fiber content of the dog. Even a Fudgesicle, following this to its logical conclusion, is packed with fiber. Chewing on the stick when you’re done is even MORE effective.

3. Do most of your grocery shopping in the “impulse buy” areas of the grocery store

These “impulse buy” areas are the racks by the register and the end-caps at the end of each aisle. Large grocery store chains have nothing but our best health in mind. They would NEVER put anything unhealthy for us on prominent display where we would be most likely to buy it. They simply don’t think that way. Profit is secondary to good health, therefore all foods that are on end-caps and set by the register are there to ensure that we have the best access to the healthiest foods possible. That’s why the fruits and vegetables are always tucked away against the wall in the back corner of the store. All those things do is fill you up and provide essential nutrients that can be better gotten as additives to low-carb chocolate puff cookies.

4. Our friend, the cheeseburger

The perfect diet food, the cheeseburger combines the slippage advantage that I mentioned above with the abundant calcium found in the cheese. Calcium has been shown to help increase fat loss, especially when served on white bread. The high fat content also helps keep you feeling full for long periods of time so you don’t feel hungry (or “regular”) for a long time after. When eaten at lunch, this saves precious calories that you might later in the day be tempted to throw away on fish or salad.

5. Whole grain kids cereals are a step in the wrong direction

No child has ever gotten fat from eating 6 bowls of Sugar Crisp with sugar scooped on top? I have yet to have somebody give me the gist of a study that says that sugary cereals will do anything but reduce attention span and cause diabetes and chronic hyperactivity. Whole grain kids cereal is just a tease.

Cap’n Crunch is crunchy. Vegetables are crunchy. I rest my case.

6. No-calorie custard is all in your mind

Custard rhymes with mustard. Mustard has no calories. When you eat custard, tell your body that you’re eating mustard. The calories will simply evaporate.

7. Preservatives and antibiotics in food are good for you

I would be remiss if I overlooked the amazing anti-aging properties of a good nitrate-filled package of mystery lunchmeat. Preservatives have been proven in several studies that I forget the names of to prolong life and increase health and prevent some other stuff. Heck, I wipe my counter with a handful of baloney – the antibiotics in the meat kill everything on it better than Lysol!

In conclusion, let me just finish by saying “don’t believe a word I just said.”

One of the most common questions I get asked is:

“What should I eat before my workouts if I want to get rid of bodyfat?”

The answer?

NOTHING.

I’ve been saying this for almost a decade now… and research is catching up with the idea.

It’s nice to be right. : )

Several studies now confirm that exercising while your body is low on food may be a good way to trim excess fat.

European researchers found that cyclists who trained without eating burned significantly more fat than their counterparts who ate. Now, this is important: Cycling requires a LOT of energy. Far more energy than you need to get rid of bodyfat.

Working out with weights and doing moderate to intense (but short) cardio will take care of 99% of your needs when it comes to fatburning.

But with weights, and espeically with the cyclists that were tested, performance may be an issue.

In fact the members of the group of cyclists that didn’t eat performed worse on the intensive training. Still, they burned a higher proportion of fat to carbohydrates than the group that ate. (Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise, the journal of the American College of Sports Medicine.)

Why? Simple. Your body’s blood sugar is lowest in the morning prior to eating. When you train, moderately or with intensity, most of your fuel comes from your bodyfat and NOT ingested carbs. Isn’t that cool?

Which would you rather burn… bodyfat or carbs?

Yeah, me too. : )

About performance: I have found that my performance only suffers slightly when fasting and training for the first few weeks. After that my performance increases. The body starts to burn its own bodfyat far more efficiently so I find I have PLENTY of energy.

This was not a lone study on fasting and training. In a 2008 study, Hespel and colleagues tested the effects on men who did endurance training without eating versus those who ate. In the athletes who hadn’t eaten, the researchers found a spike in the amount of proteins needed to process fat, meaning their bodies had been primed through fasting to get rid of more bodyfat.

So, now you know the answer to the old question: “What should I eat before training?”

Nothing… or as little as possible.

In my next email I’ll tell you what to eat AFTER your workouts to REALLY jack your fatburning through the roof…

… and no, it’s not “nothing”. It’s something special. ; )

P.S. If you want the best diet possible to turn your body into a fat-burning machine along with my personal workout plan for fasting cardio… and a plan that works in your favorite foods too … then look no further than this:

Fat Loss Revealed = A win/win program

How much money have you wasted on false promises made by weight loss and diet supplement companies? I’ve spent so much money, it’s embarrassing to talk about.

You’ve seen all the infomercial’s on late night TV showing how their “magic” pill will melt away fat in no time. Well guess what? Almost all of the supplements you come across in the media are scams!

So, how do you know which (of the few) supplements ACTUALLY WORK? Well, there is a man named Will Brink who is one of the top sports supplement experts in the United States. People such as world famous athletes, Hollywood stars, the SWAT team, and even the Navy Seal special operations teams rely on Will’s advice to keep them in tip top shape.

That’s all fine and great, but these people have thousands of dollars to pay Will for his advice. Chances are, you don’t have those kinds of resources available for “nutritional advice”.

The reason I am even bringing this up is, I just found a guide called “Fat Loss Revealed” that was written by Will Brink. The moment I saw this guide was available, I snatched it up as fast as I could pull the credit card out of my wallet!

I have to tell you, this is “THE GUIDE” you must have if you are interested in reducing your body fat. It has completely unbiased reviews of over 40 + of the best selling fat loss supplements, explains exactly which are any good and which are just plain hype. Read the rest of this entry »
