13 Million Packages of Rolaids Recalled

FYI, this came out back in December, but just a reminder, it’s always good to double check on recalled items in case you bought some, stuck them in your purse or pocket, “just in case”.

Johnson & Johnson has recalled over 13 million packages of Rolaids antacids.  There were reports that metal and wood particles were found in the products.  Reported adverse reactions have included vomiting, gum and tooth injury, and abnormal taste.

The recall includes Rolaids Extra Strength Softchews, Rolaids Extra Strength plus Gas Softchews and Rolaids Multi-Symptom Plus Anti-Gas Softchews.

According to ABC News:

“The company says the materials were potentially introduced into the products during the manufacturing process at an outside plant … Johnson & Johnson have issued several recalls in recent months, including Children’s Benadryl Allergy Fastmelt Tablets, Junior Strength Motrin Caplets, and Extra Strength Rolaids Softchews in November.”
